Location: Bordeaux - FRANCE
Le Domaine La Bouysse was created in 1996 by Martine Pages and her brother Christophe Molinier.
They are the forth generation taking over that vineyard.
The vineyard is located in the South of France (Languedoc), in the heart of the Corbieres region, at 20km from the closest town of Narbonne and only 5km from the famous Fontfroide Abbey. The winery is in Saint-Andre de Roquelongue. The long rock overlooking the village, our winery and part of our vineyard is called "Bouis" in occitan language.
A strong proportion of the vineyard is from old vines aged from 30 to 50 years old. The oldest vines are from 80 to 115 years old. The entire production is organic. The conversion started with our vintage 2010, 2011 and 2012. The vintage 2013 is fully certified.
The main grape varietals are the Carignan, Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah for the red wines. In white we grow Grenache blanc, Maccabeu, Terret and white Carignan.
They produce vin de pays wines (IGP Aude Hauterive) and appellations: AOP Corbieres & Corbieres Boutenac, as well as a traditional sweet wine "La Cartagene".
